You Might Know Us...

We live in an older home and most of the rooms do not have overhead lighting. This makes choosing the right lighting crucial for function, in addition to it simply being beautiful.

We’re Erin & Matt

The list for beautifully designed Kitchen Essentials is seemingly endless, not to mention pricey. So, I have pulled together some of my favorite budget-friendly pieces that will add an element of functional design to you kitchen, all for under $100. Click the photo for the direct link:

Ceramic Utensil Holder:

Set this next to any stove, place your most used (and best looking) utensils inside, and you have instantly elevated your cooking space.

Decorative Marble Detail Cutting Board:

Placed intentionally on styled open shelving, this piece says “I know how to make a killer cheese-plate” … even if you haven’t entertained since ’93, nobody has to know.

Perfect Pantry Storage:

Nothing says  “I’ve got my life together” quite like the perfect pantry organization. These containers are great for food storage and also fooling people into thinking you run your home like Martha freaking Stewart.

Decorative Ceramic Canisters:

I personally don’t care for too much clutter on a kitchen counter, but these are the exception. Both timeless and modern, hide your most used kitchen items while also adding a touch of decor. Perfect for coffee pods and tea bags.

Tea Towels:

You know I am a sucker for linens of all kinds. Textiles can add texture and completely enhance the feeling of a space. Kitchens can tend to feel harsh, with heavy appliances and cool tiles. Tea towels are the perfect functional essential that also will help complete the design. These plaid towels are perfect for transitioning into Fall. We can decorate for the season in our kitchens too!

Copper Kitchen Scale:

Ok, but how cute is this? I don’t know the last time I had a need for a scale in my kitchen, but this one has me wondering what I can weigh to justify this purchase. Pair this with an air-plant perched on top. Stop, I can’t handle the cuteness!

Perfect Mugs:

These mugs give me life. Really though, not only are they stunning , they look super cute in our coffee corner, and they also hold my morning coffee like a boss. What more could a gal ask for?

Practical and Pretty Cutting Board:

I’m pretty much obsessed with this cutting board. The look of marble, the practicality of plastic. Use this for serious kitchen prep, without sacrificing style.

Kitchen Scissors:

Because every kitchen needs a good pair of scissors.

My Fave Hand Soap:

We are obsessed with the Meyers line, and now you can take the guess work out of choosing the right products for your home by shopping with Grove Collaborative.

I hope you enjoyed my fave picks to help enhance your kitchen decor without breaking the bank. We also have a fully stocked section labeled “Kitchen Essentials” with more utilitarian picks in our Amazon shop, check it out by clicking HERE

Have a great weekend friends and if you have any roundup suggestions you’d love to see KH source for Friday Faves, let us know in the  comments!
