Spring is upon us and I of course got the itch to mix up the master bedroom but I did not want to go crazy or spend a ton, we just remodeled a kitchen for goodness sake. I quickly realized by simply changing out the bedding, hello the bed is the most dominant focal point, and shopping the house for the rest… I could give our space a whole new vibe without breaking the bank. I have partnered with The Company Store to make the “new” portion of the refresh happen using their and linen sheets, pillow covers, duvet cover, duvet and pillows and I have no words for the level of yes they all are! SO MUCH YES.
Okay so lets breakdown the fun and free part. I opted to keep my current base layer bleached jute rug in play, because I went with a ton of earth tones in the bedding. I removed the light pinky peach top layer rug to keep the vibe earthy and minimal.
I pulled in some artwork that I picked out months ago, but never used and have been storing in the garage. I knew it would come in handy one day (read: decor hoarder). The tones in it are minimal enough to play perfectly with this bedding, without being so minimal it makes it the space feel one note.
I was going to paint the headboard wall but opted to stay with a clean white because our room is quite petite and the light white paint helps keep the space airy. I did however swap out the lighting. I swapped out the old and brought in a new more modern shape table lamp.
I brought a single throw pillow from downstairs. More of that moody grey- blue to help The Company Store bedding shine. Added some greenery in a vase to one of the side tables for some movement and pop of color.
Now let’s talk bedding. I am dying for it. The texture, OY. The look and the feel is too die! Plus so dang comfortable to sleep on. I am madly in love with these linen babes for Spring and Summer. I chose pieces in their grey, natural, clay and parchment colors. I feel like they can carry me through a lot of seasons, are neutral enough to blend with future redesigns but not so neutral they’re boring.
